Dear Friends and Family,

How do I even describe the magic of Camp Kesem? I don't think I could ever put it into words. I was told beforehand that going to camp was a life changing experience but I was skeptical. I had extended family who had had cancer but never my parents, I was worried how would I relate to these kids? I quickly discovered that I didn’t need to be directly effected by cancer to relate to these kids. All these kids needed was Camp Kesem magic and unconditional support from us counselors. The kid’s got to meet other kids in very similar situations an realize they weren’t alone.

These kids and Camp Kesem have changed my life and how I look at everything that life presents me. The campers showed me that no matter what life throws my way, I can conquer it. These campers had wisdom beyond there years yet were so fun and easy going. Camp gives these kids a week of being a kid and I couldn’t be more proud to say I was apart of that.

Camp Kesem brought out the kid in me, whether it was with the messy Olympics or singing silly songs.  So when I got chance to be apart of the executive board I jumped at the chance! Being apart of making the camp possible and hanging out with my camp friends all year long, what could be better? I am honored to say a member of the Camp Kesem UGA executive board.

This year we are working extremely hard to send 75 deserving kids to camp. Please help me make this possible. Every donation goes straight to sending the kids to camp. Thanks for all your help!

Lots of Camp Love,
Emily
